3/10/2025 - 3/14/2025
An intensive five-day program designed for clinicians and imaging specialists.
Location:
Pavia, Italy
The Short Course on Ultrasound in Infectious Diseases and Tropical
Medicine is a comprehensive five-day program designed for clinicians,
imaging specialists, and beginners seeking an introduction to ultrasound
scanning. This program equips participants with the foundational skills
and knowledge needed to effectively use ultrasound in diagnosing and
managing infectious diseases, particularly in tropical and
resource-limited settings.
This intensive course offers a balanced mix of theoretical insights and
practical training. Participants will gain a strong foundation in
abdominal ultrasound while exploring its specialized applications for
diseases such as HIV-associated tuberculosis, parasitic infections, and
liver conditions. The program includes live scanning sessions using
volunteers, interactive case studies, and guidance from leading experts
in the field.
In addition to its academic curriculum, the course provides a unique
opportunity to network with colleagues and experts from around the
world, fostering professional connections and knowledge sharing. Held in
the historic city of Pavia, Italy, the program also includes cultural
experiences, offering a blend of professional growth and personal
enrichment.
Objectives:
